NEW 3DS XL OMGWTFBBQ

Sometimes you find a relic of the past, and sometimes it finds YOU.

█  Using the 3DS internet browser to read fanfiction is a galaxy-brain move.

I still use my 3DS quite frequently. Both the DS lite and the 3DS are consoles near and dear to my heart, and I still have a good several cartridges that I still check in on every once in a while. But sometimes, using the handheld will blast me back into the previous decade. This was especially true when I looked through the files stored on the SD card. I never really used the camera aside from taking an occasional screenshot of my Animal Crossing: New Leaf character, but I have a few GIF files from Flipnote 3D stashed away-- and an embarrassing playlist of songs I listened to back in 2016.

█  Every teenager is a little bit cringe.

While some of these songs were downloaded legally, others were... quite clearly not (refer to the file stolen from a tumblr post-- it's actually an MP3 of "Ready to Die" by Andrew W.K.), and the only reason they were on the system is because they got transferred over from my old original 3DS after it got water damaged and nearly fritzed out. It was only today that I decided to unscrew the casing on my current console to get to the microSD and swap around some files, but upon relistening to some of the songs, I can confirm my music taste has barely changed. Granted, I don't listen to My Little Pony fansongs anymore, and I'm pretty sure some of the song I'd ripped from youtube are now no longer even online... but still, it's a bit surreal to see bits and pieces of evidence from a childhood I sometimes struggle to remember. Oh yeah, you're witnessing some real lore drops from Neon lately.

█  I made this video instead of getting art done today... oops.
